HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Edward A. Nadarzynski, formerly of Holyoke, Massachusetts and Hopewell Junction, New York, died on September 5, 2024.

Edward was born on August 20, 1941, in Holyoke, Massachusetts to the late Casimir and Jane (nee Guberski) Nadarzynski and was predeceased by two siblings. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1959-1966 and was a graduate of Union College. Edward was previously employed as an Engineer for IBM in Poughkeepsie, retiring in 2005, after over 40 years of dedicated service.

Edward was the beloved husband of Sandra (nee Werenski) Nadarzynski. They were married on May 30, 1966, at Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke, Massachusetts. This past May, Edward and Sandra celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. Always the consummate gentleman, Edward held the door of heaven open for his wife Sandra, who died on September 7, 2024, only 2 days after him.

Edward was a loving father and devoted grandfather. Nothing was more important to him than his daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren, all of whom he was extremely proud. Edward is survived by his daughters, Janine Mastellone (Mahopac) and Jessica Greher and son-in-law, Andrew Greher (Cornwall) as well as his grandchildren, Adam, Antonio, Alexander and Avery.

"Big Ed", as he was often referred to, was an avid fan of New York Teams including the Giants, Yankees, and Rangers. A season ticketholder, Big Ed especially enjoyed attending Giants games and tailgates (and "parking lot steak") with family and friends.

Calling hours for Edward and Sandra will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for both Edward and Sandra on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Edward will be buried at St. Denis Cemetery immediately following with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, an organization which provides financial relief and educational assistance to active duty and retired Sailors and their families.
