Edward J. Stravello, 77, a resident of Hopewell Junction for several months and formerly of Whitestone, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center following a long illness.
Born in Jamaica, NY on July 21, 1935, he was the son of Arthur Stravello and Roseann Sarli. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was employed as a maintenance supervisor for Clearview Gardens Corp. in Whitestone.
Survivors include his wife Mary Ann (Deiso) Stravello, at home; his children, Anthony Stravello and Laura Fabiani; and his grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Steven and Samantha. He was predeceased by his son, Edward Stravello.
Calling hours on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery with military honors.
