Edward Charles Supranowicz, a lifelong resident of Southern Dutchess, died at his home in Fishkill on Monday, March 11, 2013. He was 91.
Son of the late Charles and Mary Rudzinski Supranowicz, he was born in Beacon on January 6, 1922. Edward served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from I.B.M after working at their Poughkeepsie location for 30 years.
A parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, he was a devout Catholic and served the church as a volunteer for decades. He also dedicated his time to the V.A. Medical Center at Castle Point, where he volunteered for over 20 years.
Edward is survived by his sister, Regina Liodice of Cold Spring; 17 nieces & nephews; 28 great nieces & nephews; and 8 great-great nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased in death by his parents and four sisters, Jane Gallowe, Ann Wood, Emma O'Donnell and Leona Hart.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 15 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at the original St. Joachim Cemetery, where the U.S. Navy will conduct Military Honors.
