Hopewell Junction – Edward Arthur VanAnden, 54, a lifelong area resident, died peacefully on July 24, 2022 at his home following a short illness.
Born in Poughkeepsie on January 26, 1968, he was the son of the late George Edward VanAnden and Dorothy (Schork) VanAnden Odell. Ed was a self-employed construction worker, and he enjoyed gardening.
Edward is survived by his wife, Tara Cardone, whom he married on June 24, 2022; his sons, Tyler Peter VanAnden and Dylan Kyle VanAnden; his siblings and their spouses, George Van Anden Jr., Christine and Thomas McCluskey, Lisa and Richard Wallace, Ross and Eileen Van Anden; his step-siblings and their spouses, Robert and Phyllis Odell, David and Kathy Odell, Shirley Odell; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc.
Memorial donations may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation, Inc.
