Edwin "Buddy" Peters Jr., known by his friends as "Cee-gar", passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 23, 2023. He was 93.

Born on February 23, 1930, in Hasting-on-Hudson, New York he was the son of the late Edwin and Catherine (Wark) Peters. Edwin graduated Hastings High School and went on to enlist in the United States Army. He fought in the Korean Conflict and was Honorably discharged. On March 19, 1955, Edwin married the love of his life, Anna McDonough, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Yonkers, New York. She predeceased him on December 3, 2019.

Edwin and Anna settled in Yonkers and began their life and family there, raising four loving children together. Edwin worked hard as a superintendent for the Municipal Housing Authority for 30 years prior to his retirement. Edwin enjoyed fishing, especially in the summer months. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Edwin is survived by his son, Thomas and his wife, Gina; his daughter, Katherine; his son, Bruce and his wife, Lisa; his daughter, Donna and her husband, Ed; his grandchildren, Tommy, Billy, Brian, Michael, Rosie, Stephanie, Bruce Jr., Steven, Samantha, Corinne, and Edward Jr.; and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Anna, Edwin is predeceased by his three brothers and two sisters.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 4-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction with a service at 7 pm followed by military honors.
