HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Edwin S. Murray, 78, an area resident for almost 40 years, died on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Northfield, VT on August 16, 1935, he was the son of the late Sheldon K. and Maidene Murray. Edwin proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and graduated Vermont Technical College in Randolph, VT. He was employed with IBM for over 30 years and enjoyed retired life at home with his wife and family.

On August 24, 1963, he married his wife Lucinda at St. James United Methodist Church in Stoneham, MA. Edwin is also survived by his children Dian Murray, Jeff Murray (Callie), Christine Foote (Michael) and Scott Murray (Becky); his grandchildren Cassandra, Matthew, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Mike and Brianna; his siblings Elsie Zufall, Eleanor Denko (Donald), Pauline Washburn, Sandra Ferno (Richard) and Steven Murray (Roberta) and many nieces and nephews. Edwin was also predeceased by his brother-in-law, John Zufall.
