POUGHKEEPSIE - Eileen A. Hoffmann, 72, an area resident since 1984 and formerly of New City, died on December 12, 2024 at her home. She was a devoted wife and mother, and an avid animal advocate.

Born in New York City on January 29, 1952, she was one of ten children of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Cerny) O'Bryan.

On June 29, 1974 at St. Augustine's Church in New City, Eileen married Frank Hoffmann who predeceased her on February 28, 2015. Eileen is survived by her sons, Christopher Michael Hoffmann and David Francis Hoffmann (Timara Marquis); her siblings, Michael O'Bryan (Robin Keyes), Liz Abramowicz (Robert "Bugsy"), Richard O'Bryan Jr. (Tracy), Robert O'Bryan (Tracey Goodrich), Tim O'Bryan (Linda), William O'Bryan, Edward O'Bryan (Tina), and Steven O'Bryan (Kelly); her brother-in-law, Charles Orosz; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sister, Barbara Orosz and niece Leslie Orosz.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 3-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
