Eileen Marie Hughes, 64, a resident of Wethersfield, CT and formerly of Danbury and Pawling, died on June 8, 2024 at Hartford Hospital.

Born in Suffern on December 5, 1959, she was the daughter of the late James Michael and Helen (Darby) Duffy. Eileen had been employed as a cashier with Stop & Shop in Wethersfield. Eileen enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Eileen brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

Eileen is survived by her son, James Hughes; her daughter, Jessica Hughes; her brothers, James B. Duffy, Thomas M. Duffy, William L. Duffy, and John F. Duffy; and many nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 11:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial in St. Denis Cemetery.
