Wappingers Falls - Eileen S. Monteiro, 69, an area resident since 1980, died on April 25, 2022 at her home, following a long illness.

Born in the Bronx on April 11, 1953, she was the daughter of Dennis and Susan (Healy) Byrne.

Eileen is survived by her children, Robert Monteiro and his wife Catherine, Tina Monteiro, Frank Monteiro and Cassandra Monteiro; her grandchildren, Nick, Corey, Andrew, Matthew, Jackson, Frankie, Marissa, Dylan, Natalya, Dominic, and Tylor; her great-grandchildren, Jayden, David, and Nathaniel; her siblings and their spouses, Carol and Anthony Stabile, Thomas and Clara Byrne, Theresa Ortiz, Joseph Byrne, Michael Byrne, Susan and Daniel McAuliffe, Dennis and Summer Byrne, Lisa and James Jimison; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, David Byrne.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-4pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a service at 4pm.
