Eileen T. Murphy, 87, of Panama City Beach passed away peacefully on December 31, 2022 with loving family at her side. She was born on January 16, 1935, the youngest of 8, to Irish immigrants Frank and Catherine Molloy on Staten Island, NY.

A graduate of St. Peter's Girls' High School, Eileen rode the ferry to Manhattan for many years to work as a secretary in Manhattan. In 1969 she married Michael J. Murphy, Sr., who pre-deceased her in December 2020 after 51 years of marriage. In 2002 Eileen and Mike re-located from Wappingers Falls, NY to Panama City Beach. She volunteered at John Lee Outreach Center where she enjoyed the many wonderful friends that she made there. Eileen's greatest joy was traveling to and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her many loving nieces and nephews. She was happiest surrounded by her family and friends, and always looked forward to celebrations and gatherings.

She is survived by her children, Sheila (Anthony), Michael (Marla), Marykate Underwood (Bill), Tim (Sara), Neil (Marla), Brenda DeMetropolis (Andrew), 16 grandchildren, 6(++) great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. All were her sources of joy and laughter.

She was pre-deceased by her best friend and sister, Mitzi, and six other siblings.

Visitation will be at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 6-8 PM. A mass will be held at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at the Catholic Cemetery in Panama City, Florida.
