Obituary

Fishkill - Elaine Barbara Favilla, a resident of Fishkill since 2015, previously of Dallas, Texas, Belen, New Mexico, and Peekskill, New York, died peacefully on July 22, 2020. She was 82.
Elaine was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on February 4, 1938 to the late Joseph and Maria Julia (Granata) Pinella.
On June 8, 1957, Elaine married her husband, John in New Rochelle, New York. John predeceased her on October 10, 2018.
Elaine obtained her master's degree and pursued a career as a social worker. Until her retirement in 2000, she dedicated 25 years to Putnam County Mental Health in Carmel, New York.
Survivors include her son, John Steven Favilla of Fishkill; her daughter, Cheryl van den Bergh & her husband Tom of Hopewell Junction; her daughter, Bonnie Neumann & her husband Richard of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Heather van den Bergh (Craig) of Beacon, Melissa Coyle (Michael) of Hopewell Junction, Jacqueline van den Bergh of Dublin, Ireland, Natalie Gregory (Andy) of Oxford, England, Nicole Neumann (Robin) of Hannover, Germany, and Michelle Neumann of Dallas, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Carter Coyle, Madilyn Coyle, Owen Coyle, Vincent Albrecht, and Camden Albrecht; her brother-in-law, Louis Favilla of Virginia; her nephew, Kevin Favilla (Jaroa) of Virginia; and her great-niece, Hailey Favilla; also many other loving relatives & friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her sister-in-law, Rose Marie Favilla and her step-father, Joseph Rothstein.
