Elaine S. Gray, 76, a 30 year resident of Wappingers Falls, died on Christmas Day at her home.

Born in Brooklyn on January 19, 1934, she was the daughter of Frank and Helen Genshur Walsh. Elaine was employed in Human Resources at the New York Power Authority at Indian Point for 15 years until her retirement in 1989. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction where she was a member of their sewing group.

In 1954, Elaine married William R. Gray who predeceased her on May 23, 2008. She is survived by her four children, Charity, Dara, Hope and Paul and his wife Sandra Baker-Gray; her grandchildren, Abigail and Jenica Springer, Colin and Dylan Gray; her brother-in-law, Domenico Petito; and her niece, Fiona Petito. She was predeceased by her grandson, Aaron Gray; her sister, Dorothy Walsh; and her brother, Gerald Walsh.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
