Elaine Veronica Miccio, 81, a resident of Fishkill for 60 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence.

Born in the Bronx on January 13, 1934, she was the daughter of Dominick and Camille Cavacini Capasso. Elaine was employed as the office manager for Whiting-Turner in East Fishkill. She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church where she also volunteered with the Why Catholic Organization. Elaine lived for her family and cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

On May 28, 1955 in the Bronx, Elaine married Joseph Miccio. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her children, Joseph Miccio and his wife Laurie of Newburgh, Steven Miccio of Beacon, Jean Miccio of Fishkill, and John Miccio and his wife Leslie of Fishkill; her grandchildren, Daniel, Emily, Christina, Amy, Isabella, Gabrielle, Stephen and Jasmine; her brother, Ralph Capasso and his wife Janet of Fishkill; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
