Eleanor C. Tracey, 91, of Poughquag, formerly of Yonkers, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

She was born in Yonkers on June 4, 1923 and was the daughter of Elizabeth and Grover E. Powers. In 1943, she married Dennis A. Tracey of Yonkers. They were married for 62 wonderful years when Dennis passed away in 2005. Her youngest son Edward passed away in 1976. Eleanor is survived by her son Dennis and his wife Diane of Chester and David and his wife Donna of Poughquag.

Her greatest joy was her grandchildren: Alanna Bahri of Stony Point, Brianna Tracey of Chester and David, Deidre and Dayle Tracey of Poughquag. She was beloved by her four great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Austin and Logan Tracey and John Bahri. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rita Murphy, Elizabeth Leonhardt and Geraldine McGuinness . She is survived by her brother Edward Powers and sister Margaret Toomey of Florida as well as several nieces and nephews.
