FISHKILL - Elisa DiDonato, 72, a resident of Dutchess County since 1993 and formerly of Lake Carmel and Yonkers, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at her home.
Born in Italy on October 27, 1939, she was the daughter of Domenico and Concetta Giampaola DiLullo. Elisa was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction and loved spending time with her family.
In 1967 in Italy, Elisa married Biagino "Benny" DiDonato who predeceased her on July 28, 2010. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Dominick and Constance DiDonato of Wappingers Falls and John and Angela DiDonato of LaGrangeville,; her grandchildren, Elisa, Benjamin, John Biagino and Francesca; her sisters, Camilla Rosati of NJ and Marianna Salvatore of Italy; her brother, Ciriacco DiLullo of Italy; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Gennaro DiLullo.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
