Fishkill, NY - Elisabeth "Betsey" Grover, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born on December 7, 1940, in Springfield, MA, Betsey was the cherished daughter of the late Elliott and Ruth (Hoffses) Grover. She spent over 60 wonderful years in Columbus, OH, where she built a life filled with meaningful connections and lasting friendships before relocating to Fishkill, NY, in 2024.

In her professional life, Betsey served as the Office Manager for the Scherner and Hansen Law Group, where her dedication and organizational skills contributed to the smooth operation of the firm. Her warm spirit and kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with her.

Betsey was a member of the Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church, where she found joy and fellowship within her community. Her faith and compassion for others were evident in all aspects of her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews: Karen P. & Shawn MacNish of Poughkeepsie, NY; Richard and Kate Pyne of Peru, NY; Robert and Missa Pyne of Poulsbo, WA; Samantha and Randall Drawdy of Columbia, SC; Jennifer Gilmore of Columbia, SC; Andrea and Tom Corey of Indianapolis, IN; and Nancy and Jim Thomas of Poughkeepsie, NY, along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and her brother-in-law Roger S. Pyne Jr, all who brought her immense joy.

Betsey is predeceased by her sister, Barbara Pyne; her brother, William Grover; She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
