Obituary

HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Elizabeth Ann Fronckowiak, 56, an area resident since 1985, passed away on April 5, 2016 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She previously lived in Pleasantville.

Elizabeth was born in Oneonta on January 5, 1960. She had been employed as the Restaurant Manager at Panera Bread in Poughkeepsie until her illness made it no longer possible for her to work. She had also worked for many years with McDonald's.

On October 18, 1992 in Pleasantville, Elizabeth married Joseph Fronckowiak III who survives at home. She is also survived by her son, Christian Fronckowiak of Hopewell Junction; her stepson, Charles Fronckowiak and his wife Tonya of Halcott Center; her parents, Gerald and Dolores (Miller) Santangelo; her grandchildren, Ava, Oakley, Caydence, and Charles; her sister, Virginia Leggio and her husband Thomas; her brother, Christopher Santangelo and his wife Jennifer; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judith Balcom of Klamath Falls OR, Steven and Earleen Fronckowiak of Medford, OR, Patrick Fronckowiak of Fleischmanns, JoAnn and Richard Bergeron of Bedford, NH, John and Frannie Fronckowiak of Fleischmanns, Michael and Doris Fronckowiak of Klamath Falls, OR, Julianna Hassett of Hopewell Junction, David and Donna Fronckowiak of Fleischmanns, Timothy and Millie Fronckowiak of Arkville, and Betty Fronckowiak and Dale Cornall of Fishs Eddy; and many other loving family members and friends. Elizabeth was predeceased by her infant daughter, Jacqueline Fronckowiak in 1996.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will be at the Margaretville Cemetery, 550 Cross Road, Margaretville at the convenience of the family.
