Elizabeth Jane Sehrt, 90, of Hopewell Junction and formerly of Carolina Shores, NC, and Katonah, NY, died peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2015.

Born in Kirkwood, MO, on September 19, 1924, she was the daughter of Michael and Alma Dryer Shea. On April 26, 1947, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kirkwood, MO, Betty married Robert Edward Sehrt who predeceased her on June 30, 2009.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Mary "Betsy" Thompson and her husband John of Hopewell Junction with whom she lived for the past six years; her son, Michael Sehrt of Murrells Inlet, SC; her son, Robert Sehrt and his wife Debby of Wingdale; her grandsons, David, Daniel and Matthew Sehrt; and her beloved dog, Muffin. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by her sister, Edris Baygents; her twin sister, Mary Huffman; and her brother, James Shea.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Inurnment will be at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church columbarium in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
