Elizabeth T. Torchetti, 86, a resident of Stormville since 2000 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in the Bronx on June 17, 1924, she was the daughter of Pasquale and Stella Paccione Cuono. Elizabeth was employed as a salesperson for Dizzy Jeans in the Bronx and was a member of the East Fishkill Seniors.
On June 28, 1947 in the Bronx, Elizabeth married Carmine Torchetti who predeceased her on January 6, 2001. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Lorraine and Cyril Gervais of the Bronx, Carmine and Cathy Torchetti of the Bronx, Denise and Carmine Derrico of Hopewell Junction and Janine and George Barsanti of Stormville; her brother, Joseph Migliaccio of Somers; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 12 pm at the funeral home followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla.
