Elnora "Ellen" C. Abraham, 83, a retired RN, resident of Poughkeepsie since 2013 and formerly of White Plains, lost her battle with cancer on July 19, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born in the Philippines on January 21, 1934, she was the daughter of Leoncio and Guadalupe Cruz. She was a long member of the Ridgeview Congregational Church in White Plains. She loved gardening, growing orchids and crocheting, but more than anything she loved her children and grandchildren.

Ellen was predeceased by husband, Jaime D. Abraham. She is survived by her 8 children and their spouses, Eleanor "Leah" and Stuart Decker, Elain "Grace" and Robbie Abraham-Rigo, Edissa "Joyce" and Michael Cioce, Pastor Jonathan and Sheila Abraham, Jessy and David McNeil, Jemuel Abraham, Jeramel and Kathy Abraham, Jeremy Abraham and Susan Kerr; her grandchildren, Isabella and Vanessa Decker, Michael Jonathan, and Nicholas James Cioce, David, Nathan, Samuel and Abigail Abraham, Samuel and Rachel McNeil, Alexandra Ellen Abraham, Bryce and Clarisse Abraham; and her siblings, Leoncio Cruz and Rebecca Santos.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by the funeral service.
