Elsie Kish, 93, died peacefully on August 12, 2021 at The Pines of Poughkeepsie.

Born in Queens on June 18, 1928, and residing in Floral Park for most of her life, she was the daughter of Josef and Justina (Mundi) Kish. Elsie was employed as an executive secretary for Uniroyal Corporation, and then as an office manager for an ophthalmology group at LIJ Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and saw all 50 states as well as many international destinations.

Elsie is survived by her sister-in-law, Amy Kish of Hopewell Junction; her nephew, Dr. Kurt Kish and his wife Libby of Hopewell Junction; her niece, Lisa Brenner and her husband Larry of Clintondale; her nephew, Dr. Josef Kish of Salem, NH; her nephew, Robert Schindlar and his wife, Lydia; her niece, Doris Schindlar; her niece, Patty Schindlar; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Josef Kish; her sisters, Mary Schindlar and Justina Kish; and her nephews, Erich and Otto Schindlar.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, August 24 at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Charles Cemetery.
