Emily A. Duran, 75, a resident of Stormville for 15 years and formerly of Mount Vernon, died on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Putnam Hospital Center.
Born in Mount Vernon on October 23, 1936, she was the daughter of the late August and Lucy Violino Corrado. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church and a member of the East Fishkill Seniors. Emily enjoyed crafting jewelry, crocheting and shopping, and especially loved being surrounded by family and friends.
On September 10, 1955 in Mount Vernon, Emily married Ronald R. Duran who predeceased her on September 5, 2007. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Carl Grube of Yonkers, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Judy Corrado.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 9-10:30am at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
