Erminia R. Adams, 91, a resident of Beacon for 85 years, died on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in New York City on April 23, 1921, she was the daughter of Dominick and Linda Cacchione Blasucci and graduated from Haldane High School in Cold Spring. Emily was employed as an administrative assistant for IBM, East Fishkill until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim’s-St. John the Evangelist Parish. She was also a member of the St. John’s Seniors, Kevin Barry Irish Club and the Women’s Republican Club and a volunteer with the Animal Rescue Foundation.
In March of 1948 in Beacon, Emily married Robin A. Adams, Jr. who predeceased her in 1976. She is survived by her children, Lucinda Lucy and husband Carl of Beacon, Mary Jane Daley of Beacon and Robin Adams III and wife Lisa of Flemington, NJ; her grandchildren, Celeste and Ray Ormerod, Matt Lucy, Theodore and Jen Daley, Jr., Robin A. Daley, Morgan Adams, Maxine Adams and Claudia Adams; her great-grandchildren, Kyle Lucy, Raymond Ormerod , Elizabeth Ormerod and Katherine Ormerod; her nieces, Judi Maher and husband Ed and Susan Ratigan and husband Bill; her special pets; and several great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am at St. Joachim’s Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
