Ernestine "Ernie" Rinaldi, 92, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1972 and previously of the Bronx, died on April 12, 2017 at the Wingate at Beacon.

Born on October 25, 1924 in New York City, Ernestine was the daughter of Louis and Augustina (Balletti) Peveri. On August 10, 1947 in the Bronx, Ernestine married Peter Rinaldi who predeceased her on December 28, 2005.

Ernestine worked as a Bank Teller for Chase Bank in Manhattan. She was an active member of the Beekman Seniors and a parishioner of St. Denis Church.

Ernestine is survived by her sons, Peter Rinaldi and his wife Audrey of South Salem, and Thomas Rinaldi and his wife Christine of Cottekill; her grandchildren, Peter, David, Gregory, Theresa and Thomas; her 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 12pm at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery.
