Estelle "Skip" Russell, 90, a lifelong resident of Hopewell Junction passed away on March 23, 2017 to join her beloved husband, Russ, on their 70th wedding anniversary in Heaven.

Skip, the youngest of 11 children, was born on May 14, 1926 in Hopewell Junction to Alfred and Susie Lund.

Upon Russ' return from World War II, she married her high school sweetheart, who predeceased her on April 5, 2009. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed special vacations in Aruba with Russ.

Skip had been a member of the Hopewell Reformed Church since 1941, was a member of the East Fishkill Republican Club and retired from IBM East Fishkill.

She was a loving mother. She and Russ raised 4 children. Skip is survived by Cathy (Walter) Womack, Paul (Nancy) Russell, Linda (Frederick) Romig and Evelyn Ohliger. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her sister Eleanor (Herb) Wright. In addition to her husband, Russ, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Robert Ohliger.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am at the Hopewell Reformed Church, 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
