Esther Lazenka, of Wappingers Falls, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 54.
Esther was born on April 14, 1963 in Cold Spring. A member of the Faith Assembly of God, she was working as a bus driver for the Wappingers Central School District.
She is survived by her son and daughter, Nicholas Lazenka & Christina Lazenka, both at home in Wappingers Falls; her parents, Michael and Minerva (Morales) Cabrera of Chelsea; her siblings, Michael Cabrera, Jr. of Wappingers Falls, Margarita Cabrera of Hillside, NJ, Lousecita Cabrera of Chelsea, and Raul Cabrera of Chelsea; and many other loving relatives & friends.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Rosalia Morales and Celestino Morales.
Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 25 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26 at the funeral home, followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
