POUGHKEEPSIE – Eugene Xavier Jones, 52, passed away at home on February 15, 2022.

Born on July 18, 1969 in Brooklyn, Eugene was the son of the late Lewis and Carmen (McClaine) Jones, Sr. He had been employed as the manager at the Sunglass Hut in Poughkeepsie where he worked for over 20 years.

Eugene is survived by his fiancé, Harry Figueroa of Poughkeepsie; his brother, Lewis Jones of Brooklyn; his sister, Girlee Smith (Charles) of Bladenboro, NC; his brother John Make McClaine, Jr. (Pamela) of Dunn, NC; his sister, Shelvy Collins (Phillip) of Jessup, GA; his godson, Kari Lucas of Brooklyn; and his lifetime friend, Tiffanie Bond of Brooklyn.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was predeceased by his sister, Diane Banner.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 – 11 am with a service at 10:30 am at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. Burial will be on Tuesday, March 1st at Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, NJ.
