LAGRANGEVILLE – Eugenia “Jean” Elizabeth Reilly Gunn, 92, of LaGrangeville, died at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 after a long illness. She was a life-long member of the Catholic faith.

She was born on May 26, 1922 in Endicott to the late Mary and Charles Reilly. She graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 1940. She was employed by Ottaway Newspapers from the age of 18 until her retirement in 1984.

On April 18, 1964 at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Endicott, she married John A. Gunn who predeceased her on July 26, 1998. She is survived by her son, John C. Gunn and her granddaughter, Reganne McKenzie Gunn of LaGrangeville. She is also survived by her sister, Rita French of Endicott; her sisters-in-law, Sally Gunn of Hopewell Junction and Anne Bueche of Ormond Beach, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Robert Reilly and William Reilly; and her sisters, Marguerite Tinder, Ruth Reilly, and Helen Card.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Burial will be private.
