Eugenia "Jean" Kiedaisch
September 11, 1928 - March 10, 2026
HOPEWELL JUNCTION, NY - Eugenia "Jean" Kiedaisch, a woman of grace, joy, and a boundless heart, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 97. She entered her eternal rest surrounded by the family she cherished, departing with the same peace and beauty she brought into the world.
Born in the Bronx, Jean's life was defined by a vibrant spirit and a contagious smile that could light up any room. To know Jean was to love her; she possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel like the most important person in the world. Throughout her long and full life, she was a constant source of laughter and warmth. Often called "the life of the party," she was truly the best woman many had ever known.
In her early years, Jean worked at Bloomingdale's and retired after 25 years in which she then dedicated herself to her family and community. She was a woman of deep faith and social connection, serving as an active member of Mount Alvernia, the Red Hat Society, and her local senior citizens' groups. An avid traveler and a formidable card player, Jean built a lifetime of friendships across every table she sat at. Her social circle was vast, and her absence will be deeply felt by the many lives she touched with her generosity and spirit.
Jean is now reunited with her husband, Charles; her parents; her two sisters; her son-in-law, Teddy, and her grandson Steven.
Her profound legacy of love continues through her five children: Linda, Diane (Don), Anthony, Kim, and Chuck. She was the adored grandmother of Michael, David, Gina (Damien), Damien (Lauralyn), and Andrew (Ashley). She was also the proud great-grandmother of eight: Lucas, Lucie, Ayden, Doni, Vienna, Giuliana, Leo and Giavanna.
Jean's life was a masterclass in how to love. She will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but for the way she made every person feel welcomed, celebrated, and deeply loved.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th from 4 - 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, March 13th at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery. For all services, instead of wearing black the family asks that everyone honor Jean's bright personality and wear bright colors.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jean's name to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Please visit her Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com .
