Fay A. DiBella, 99, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 2001 and formerly of Brooklyn, died on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Taormina, Sicily on May 30, 1916, she was the daughter of Dominic and Agatha D'Agostino Raneri. Fay had worked as a hat check girl for Glen Chatheau in Brooklyn for many years. She was a parishioner of Mary, Queen of Heaven in Brooklyn and enjoyed traveling, gardening, dancing and entertaining.
On April 19, 1949 in Brooklyn, Fay married Dominic DiBella who predeceased her on June 22, 1954. She is survived by her daughter, Agatha Ginther and her husband, Richard of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Joanne Pabion and her husband Lou of West Palm Beach, FL, Michael Rubinstein of Long Island, Richard Ginther and his wife Jeannette of Flower Mound of TX, and Christine Ginther of Hopewell Junction; and her great-grandchildren, Noah, Mia and Richard III.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by a service at 6pm.
