WAPPINGERS FALLS - Felicitas A. Guzman, 84, a Hudson Valley resident since 1964, died peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born on November 22, 1926 in Ft. Stockton, TX, she was the daughter of the late Jesus and Paula Jimenez Aguilera. On August 18, 1960 in Ft. Stockton, TX, she married Rupert Guzman. Mr. Guzman predeceased her on December 31, 1997.
Felicitas was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction, where she was a member of various church groups. She was an Assistant Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.

She is survived by her son, Laurence Guzman of Wappingers Falls; her brother, Samuel and his wife Lola of Ft. Stockton, TX; her brother, Raymundo and his wife Elodia of Odessa, TX; her sister, Elida Morales and her husband Juan of Ft. Stockton; her sister, Paula Acosta of Odessa, TX; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jesse and Virginia Luis of Robstown, TX; her sister-in-law, Carmen Guzman of Corpus Christi, TX; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Felicitas was predeceased by her son, Ronald R. Guzman on December 7, 2007. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Monico and Manuel, and her sister, Dora Sosa.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial and Interment will follow at a later date in Texas.
