Florence Degaetano's Obituary
Florence C. DeGaetano, 86, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1974 and formerly of the Bronx, died on April 25, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in the Bronx on April 4, 1930, she was the daughter of John and Catherine Walsh. She enjoyed bowling, visiting casinos and vacationing.
On December 14, 1948, Florence married Charles "Pep" DeGaetano who survives at home. She is also survived by her son Mark DeGaetano and his wife Silvia of White Plains; and her grandchildren, Corrine Ballas, Suzanne Ballas, Jonathan DeGaetano and Mark DeGaetano. She was predeceased by her children, Renee Ballas, Denise DeGaetano and Charlie DeGaetano.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
