Florence A. Miller, 93, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 1978 and previously of the Bronx, passed away on September 13, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Florence was born on June 25, 1922 in the Bronx to Stanley and Florence Schultz Suchy. On December 25, 1941 in the Bronx, she married Harold Miller who survives at home.

She was the owner and operator of Acorn Coach Company, now Miller Bus Company, in Mount Vernon for over 40 years until her retirement in 1985.
Florence is also survived by her children, Steve Miller and his wife Mary of Wappingers Falls, Susan Lalli and her husband Eugene of Hopewell Junction, and Irene Miller of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Keith Miller, Ryan Miller and his wife Amy, Christopher Lalli and his wife Jennifer, Richard Lalli, and Sarah Monitto; her great-grandchildren, Marin Lalli, Zack and Abby Narbaiz, and Charlotte and Mikayla Miller; and her sister, Barbara Christesen. She was predeceased by her brother, Leonard Suchy; and her sister, Joyce Hittesdorf.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
