Frances M. Fallon, 82, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at ArchCare at Ferncliff Nursing Home. She left to reunite with the love of her life, her husband Frank, who passed away exactly six weeks ago. Her heart was only half without him, but now it is whole. They are together forever.

Born in the Bronx on April 26, 1932, she was the daughter of the late James Culligan and Christina Boschek Heffel. Fran was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction where she sang in the choir for many years. She also attended Mass at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie. She was an avid reader, writer and poet, and she enjoyed playing solitaire. A wonderful and beautiful wife, mother and grandmother, Fran was totally devoted to her family. Her warm smile and hardy laugh will be missed by all.

On July 15, 1950, Fran married Frank J. Fallon at St. Martin of Tours Church in the Bronx. Her husband of 63 years died on April 5, 2014. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Christine and Charles Riedinger of Red Hook, Patricia and Michael Penston of Tivoli, Eileen and Dan Mahoney of Pleasant Valley, Nancy and Rusty Collyer of Livingston, MT; her son-in-law, Michael Dickinson of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Branden, Matthew, Michael, Jonathan, Ryan, Peter, Timmy, Meghan, Joshua, Jessica, Daniel, Cody and Beth; her 10 loving great-grandchildren; her loving baby sister, Bernadette "Bunny" Serrano; her brother, Joseph Heffel ; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Dickinson; her granddaughter, Anne Marie Collyer; her sister and best friend, Christine "Cookie" Zykoff; and her stepfather, William Heffel.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
