Frances Mottola, a resident of Dutchess County for 25 years and formerly of Jamaica, Queens, died at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh on Monday, May 06, 2013. She was 89.
Daughter of the late Giuseppe and Katherine Buttacavoli, she was born in New York City on January 1, 1924.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Alfonso Mottola on June 13, 1987.
Frances is survived by two daughters, Cathy DiLorenzo of Hopewell Junction and Roseann Papadatos of West Babylon; her grandchildren, Mario, Gina, John, Marina and Peter; her great-granddaughter, Giuliana; and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives & friends.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 10 at Immaculate Conception Church, 86-45 Edgerton Blvd., Jamaica. Interment will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery in Flushing.
