Frances Mary O'Brien, a local area resident for 30 years, passed away peacefully at home in Fishkill, NY on Monday, September 9, 2024. She was 104 years old.

Born in the Bronx on October 31, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Keyser) Siviglia. On May 25, 1942, she married James O'Brien in the Bronx. Frances was preceded in death by her husband on March 3, 1967.

Her hobbies included completing crossword puzzles and watching Fox News. She always had tremendous compassion for animals and loved all of her family pets throughout her lifetime.

More than anything else, however, Frances cherished her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Survivors include her four children: Carolann Clifford, Diane Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Devlin (William), and John O'Brien (Maureen); her ten grandchildren, along with their families: Kimberly DiBerto, Noelle Alix, Kristine McCarthy, James Clifford, Caren Fitzgerald, Anne Sferlazza, William Devlin, Brian Devlin, James O'Brien, and Kathleen O'Brien; 14 great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was also predeceased by her sister, Doris Leppla; her brother, James Siviglia; and two sons-in-law, Kevin Clifford and Bill Fitzgerald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 12 at the Church of St. Mary, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls, NY, with interment following at St. Mary's Cemetery.
