Francisco "Leon" Zayas, 60, died February 7, 2025, in Poughkeepsie, NY after a battle with lung cancer. Leon was born on May 14, 1964, in Roscoe, NY to Francisco Leon Zayas and Barbara Ann Jones Zayas. His father predeceased him.

In addition to his mother, Leon is survived by his sons, Leon Zayas and Justin Edwards; his daughters Joana Zayas and Jenna Zayas; his brothers Frank Avery Zayas, Merton Zayas, Christoper Todd Zayas, and Angelo Zayas; his sisters Nancy Raisor and Linda Christian; and his grandchildren, Isla Edwards, Amaury Edwards, Aura Edwards, Sophie Zayas and Ivy Zayas.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
