Obituary

Fishkill- Frank Michael Coluccio, 77, of Fishkill, NY and Sebastian, FL, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024 at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, FL, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness.

He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on November 8, 1946 to Anthony D. Coluccio Sr. and Angelina M. (Uva) Coluccio.

Frank graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1965. He then enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in the Philippines during the Vietnam War.
After his service to our country, Frank became a union mason and worked in the construction field for many years, including building custom homes alongside his father and brothers.

Frank had a passion for blowing things up at an early age and as fate would have it, he started working for a fireworks company out of Wappingers Falls, NY in his spare time. Frank eventually bought that company, Legion Fireworks, in 1981 and the rest is history. For the next 43 years, Frank put on extraordinary fireworks displays all across New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut. Frank was the Pyrotechnics Expert at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome for decades.

He was also a well-respected leader in his community and was honored by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2021 with the Good Neighbor Award. He was a current member of the DCRCC and a past member of the Wappingers Falls Rotary and the Southern Dutchess Exchange Club.

He is survived by his life partner, Roberta Theiss; and his four children: Katherine Brusca (Paul) of Boca Raton, FL, Paul Coluccio (Krissy) of Apopka, FL, Michelle Coluccio of Wellington, FL, and Deanna Theiss (Christopher Walsh) of Fishkill, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Chloe Mazzetti, Vincent, Leonardo and Mia Coluccio, and Paige and Cole Walsh; his sister Donna Betts of Tivoli, NY, and his brothers: Michael Coluccio (Linda) of Cross Hill, SC, Anthony Coluccio Jr. (Donna) of Hyde Park, NY, Ronald Coluccio of Ellerbee, NC, and Danny Coluccio (Sue) of Hyde Park, NY; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
