Frank J. Kemlage, 84, a resident of East Fishkill since 1969 and formerly of Manhattan, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New York City on July 17, 1941, he was the son of the late Frank and Katerina (Viskup) Kemlage. Frank proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He went on to serve as a Police Officer with the New York City Transit Authority for 20 years, retiring in 1987. He was also the owner and operator of APH and Sep-Tech, the local family business he founded in 1969.
On May 25, 1963, in Brooklyn, Frank married Darlene Stosko, who survives him at home.
In addition to his loving wife of 63 years, he is survived by his children and their spouses: Christopher and Theresa Kemlage; Jesse and Cindy Kemlage; Richard and Enid Kemlage; Desirea and Tom Roz. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Joshua and Natalia Kemlage, Matthew and Caitlin Kemlage, Brooke, Makenzie, Jakob , Alexander , Isaac, Elias, Elianna, Julianna, and Noah; his great-grandchildren, Reagan, Cillian and McKenna ; his siblings, Frances Sikula, Maryann Herzog, Bernard Kemlage, and Joseph Kemlage; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Michael Kemlage, sisters , Bernadine Cambalik and Catherine Corbin.
A Catholic mass will be offered at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, on Wednesday March 4 at 11:30 am, followed by a gathering of family and friends, to honor his cherished memories.
