Frank Donald Welch, 82, a resident of Spring Hill, FL and formerly of Hopewell Junction and Port Jefferson Station, NY, died on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL.
Born in Brooklyn on August 29, 1933, he was the youngest of 14 children of Arthur and Delia Malloy Welch. Frank proudly served our country as a 3rd Class Petty Officer in the US Navy during the Korean War and was employed as a High Purity Gas Instructor/Installer at IBM, East Fishkill, NY. He was a parishioner of St. Theresa's RC Church, Spring Hill, FL and St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction, NY; a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Council, Fishkill, NY, and St. Jude Council, Spring Hill, FL; and VFW Post #10209, Spring Hill, FL.
Frank married Margaret Hinke on April 27, 1957 at St. Andrew's Church in Flushing, NY, by whom he is survived. He is also survived by their children, Peggy Welch of Apalachin, NY; Carol Impellizeri and her husband Mario of Oakland, FL; and Doug Welch and his wife Kathy of Wappingers Falls, NY; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
