WAPPINGERS FALLS – Frank R. Wilbur, 93, an area resident since 1950, died on August 10, 2021 at The Pines of Poughkeepsie.

Born on Dresden, NY on August 8, 1928, he was one of six children of Allen and Lulu (Livingston) Wilbur. Frank had been employed as a Corrections Officer by the State of New York at Fishkill Correctional Facility for 31 years until his retirement in 1981. He had been a member of the Chelsea Fire Department and the Chelsea Sportsmen's Association.

On November 18, 1948 in Fairhaven, VT, Frank married Catherine "Kay" Jones who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Mark Wilbur and his wife Pam; his grandchildren, Angela Joy, Franki Wilbur, Heather Young and her husband Charlie, Heath Conklin and his wife Nicole; his great-grandchildren, Zoe, Chase, Aliya, Cameron, Zakk and Kaitlyn, Cory and Genevieve, and Evan; his nieces and nephews, Linda, Mary Bug, Michael and Allen, and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will be in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
