YONKERS - Frederick P. Gregory, 72, a lifelong resident of Westchester County, died on January 20, 2022 at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers.

Born in New Rochelle on October 15, 1949, he was the son of the late Frederick and Margaret (DelTorto) Gregory. He proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Shangri-La during the Vietnam War. Fred retired from the US Postal Service after 30+ years.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Erica and Gordon Corrao of Stormville and Jason and Christine Gregory of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Ella, Madison, and Amelia; his longtime girlfriend, Vivian Galluccio of Yonkers; his sister, Diane (Gregory) King and her husband Gary; and his other siblings Ron Gregory, Roger Gregory, Rory Gregory, and Tammy Gregory; his former wife and friend, Elisabeth Gregory; and several nieces and nephews.

Fred enjoyed life. He had a passion for singing, especially Frank Sinatra songs , which he covered in karaoke and other live events through the years. He dressed up as Santa Claus for pre-schools and other functions and adored bringing joy to those children during the holidays. He had a great respect for our country and loved it dearly. Most of all, he loved his two children and granddaughters and cherished the time he spent with them.
