WAPPINGERS FALLS - Frederick T. Hoffman, 88, died on December 11, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was born in Nyack on July 16, 1933 to Frederick and Jane (Kubacz) Hoffman. Frederick was a graduate of Fordham University, School of Pharmacy, and served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1959. He operated the Fishkill Pharmacy for many years and was a pharmacist at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. Frederick is survived by his wife Mary (Chapla) Hoffman; his three sons, Steven Hoffman of Nanuet, Jeffrey Hoffman of Port Orange, FL, and Paul (Lesley) Hoffman of Fishkill; his four grandchildren, Ryan, Brittany, Mary-Elizabeth, and Lauren Hoffman; his great-granddaughter, Emmy Frances; his sister, Margaret Kopac of Blauvelt; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frederick was also predeceased by his brother, Robert. There are no calling hours. In keeping with his wish, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 27th at 11 am at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill followed by burial with military honors at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
