Frederick J. Tedone, 93, an area resident for 50 years, died on April 25, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Manhattan on November 13, 1928, he was the son of Joseph and Antoinette (Soda) Tedone. Fred proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. He had been employed as a sanitation engineer with the NYC Department of Sanitation. Following his retirement, he worked for sixteen years at St. Columba School. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and painting watercolors, and was an UNO aficionado.

On October 4, 1952 in the Bronx, Fred married the love of his life, Christina Casalino, who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Stephen Tedone, Antoinette Onorato, Teresa Tedone, and Robert Tedone; his grandchildren, Carisa Studer, Joseph Benga, Tara Benga, Nicole Tedone, and Greg Tedone; and his great grandchildren, Adriana Studer, Penelope Studer and Emelia Tedone.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
