Fritz Werner Promnitz, 93, a resident of Rhinebeck since the 1950s, died on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Germany on October 21, 1919, Fritz was employed as a tool maker for Stamp, Inc. in Rhinebeck.
Fritz was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Swartz); and his children, Detlef Karl Promnitz and Evelyn Promnitz. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Janet Promnitz; his grandsons, David Promnitz and Eric Promnitz and his wife Krista; and his great-grandchildren, John David and Sara Promnitz.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3-4pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will follow at 4pm. Inurnment will be in the Fishkill Rural Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial donations may be made to New Horizons Resources, Inc., 123 West Road, Pleasant Valley, NY 12569.
