OBITUARY – Gail Strydio
Gail Strydio, 80 years old of LaGrangeville, NY passed on February 3rd, 2024.
Born to Mollie and Harold Sorensen on April 5, 1943 in Yonkers, NY. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, George (Chip) Strydio, three children Shelly Black, and two sons Brian K. and Gary C. Strydio. Also, she leaves three grandchildren Collin (his wife, Kieran), Taryn and Bridget Black and 2 great grand children Mason and Theodore Black. Gail and George were married on July 25, 1964 at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in Yonkers.
Gail was an avid gardener and grew much of her family's produce. She joined the Master Gardener program in 1999 and supported the program until recently. She also volunteered with Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital greenhouse for many years. She loved to sew and made many quilts that she enjoyed giving to family and friends. Gail truly loved being with her church friends and volunteering wherever she could, holding many supporting roles.
There will be a celebration of life at Trinity United Methodist Church, LaGrangeville, NY on Saturday, February 17th at 10am.
Gail is predeceased by her parents and one sister, Linda McKim.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at a later date at G. H. Solomon National Cemetery in Schuyler, NY.

Gail will be missed greatly by anyone who knew and loved her.
