Gaston "Gus" Jean-Louis, Jr., 79, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 29, at his home in Poughquag, NY surrounded by his family and showered with love.
The son of the late Gaston Sr. and Frances (Machado) Jean-Louis, Gus was born in Manhattan on February 10, 1944. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Gus received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Baruch College. After serving in the armed forces he began his career on Wall Street, starting in the Operations Division and eventually becoming a Vice President of Chemical Bank. Gus used his expertise in recruitment and employment while serving on the Private Industry Council in NYC and participating in the Vietnam Veterans Leadership Program.
In his free time, Gus loved to exercise, especially swimming. He enjoyed visiting many places around the world. His favorite cocktail was the Sidecar. He was very proud of the colleges his children attended, Villanova and Harvard, often reminiscing of the fun times he had at those institutions long after his children had graduated.
