He was a member of the Whortlekill Rod & Gun Club, 110 Rod & Gun Club, Mid Hudson Sporting Clays, and the Federation of Dutchess County Fish and Game Clubs. George also volunteered with Hunters Feeding the Hungry. He loved to teach people of all ages, but especially kids, dedicated to imparting respect for the outdoors and shooting sports. He truly cared.

His dogs Cali and Macbeth, and his cats Buddy and Scout will miss him very much. He was beloved by so very many people, and always had a raffle ticket to sell.
