George E. Maurer, age 85, formerly of Fishkill, NY passed away in Upstate NY on November 19, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born in Beacon, NY on December 9, 1937 to the late Lawrence and Lucy Maurer.

George attended Wappingers Central Schools and graduated from Ithaca College where he was a Physical Education major. He was an avid skier, fisherman and golfer. He had a great love of antiques and also enjoyed a game of pool.

George is survived by his daughter Laureen Maurer of Tampa, FL, his son Lawrence Maurer of Seattle, WA, two grandsons as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers Hugh J., David L., and Niel E. Maurer and his sisters Gwen E. Maurer Schauer and Sara E. Maurer.

There will be a Celebration of Life on July 1st, 2023 at 11am at the First Reformed Church of Fishkill 1153 Main St. Fishkill, NY.
