George Popp's Obituary
George Augustus Popp, 83, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Fishkill, NY.
Born Feb. 2, 1931 in Philadelphia, he was the son of Louis & Catherine (Almaier) Popp. George was predeceased by his loving wife May Ellen.
He grew up in the Romanian Orthodox Church in Philadelphia and was a longtime resident of Hatboro before moving to Fishkill, NY.
George was a Navy Korean War Veteran. He attended Wharton School of Business and was an Accountant for Montgomery County. George was an accomplished violinist and an avid Eagles fan.
Survivors include daughters, Catherine (Denny) Dutcavich & Rosemarie (Natale) Buono; grandchildren, Natale III, Maria, Jennifer, Christina, & Michael. He is predeceased by his brother Vasile Popp.
The Funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Lehman Church, 300 S. York Rd., Hatboro. Friends may call at 11:30 am; the service will be at 12 pm at the church. Burial at Green Mount Cemetery, Philadelphia, with military honors, directly follows the service. mchoulfuneralhome.com.
